We will be accepting applications for this year’s open call from Mon, 17 Feb, please refer back to this page for the submission form.

The Women in Film & Photography Showcase at Objectifs is a tribute to the artists, photographers, and filmmakers who have created works that tell stories with impact, break boundaries, and inspire us.

Our theme for this edition is WHAT WE CARRY.

What are some things we carry with us throughout our lives? When is the act of carrying a marker of hope, resilience, resistance, or choice, and when is it not? How do we decide when to keep holding on, and when it is time to let go? How do the things we carry inform our identities, our journeys, and our connections to the world around us? After all, we carry to be able to carry on, carry over, and carry towards.

These questions invite reflection on the diverse and personal ways in which our histories, environments, and experiences shape what we carry. We invite projects that interrogate the theme, and how these elements interact with our sense of self and community. We also welcome submissions that consider the theme expansively, and broaden our scope for dialogue.

Through your work, we aim to engage with the many layers of individual and collective experiences, inviting new perspectives on the things we hold close, and the stories we choose to carry forward.
