Memory Bank by Joanne Pang

$62.00

Memory Bank by Joanne Pang is an experimental foray to consider the book as a memory bank, a vulnerable space where memory images collapse and expand. Recent works on paper by Joanne Pang are deconstructed and archived. Pages traverse through the density of past in search for new meanings. Accompanying essays by art historians, researchers and curators Joella Qingyi and Vincent Lin respond to the works in this book, explore the histories of ink and examine the language of drawings. A small booklet is included for further information for all the mentioned artworks.

Memory Bank is considered as an archive of Joanne Pang’s recent works. The goal for the project was to be free from the norm of designing an archive book, which results in interesting spreads that meant to provoke the reader’s imagination and curiosity. Graphic elements are subtly incorporated.
