Every character has a story to tell! In this hands-on workshop, young creators aged 6 – 14 will bring their imagination to life by designing their very own paper-cutout characters, complete with unique personalities and quirks. Will yours be a curious explorer, a cheeky creature, or a hero on a mission?

Once their characters are ready, participants will discover the magic of stop-motion animation, moving their paper creations to create a short animation of their character travelling across the screen. Along the way, they’ll explore how small movements can express personality and bring a character to life.

No prior drawing or animation experience is needed – just an imagination ready to come to life!

Suitable for ages 6 – 14 for children of all abilities.

What Your Kids Will Experience:

• Design and cut out an original paper character, giving it a personality, quirks, and distinctive features.

• Explore how movement, gesture, and positioning can express a character’s personality

• Learn how to make a character move across the screen by capturing a sequence of small movements frame by frame.
