COURSE INFO

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival—also known as the Mooncake Festival or Moon Festival—with a hands-on lantern-making workshop at Objectifs – Centre for Photography and Film in Singapore. This family-friendly art session puts a creative twist on traditional celebrations by combining lantern crafting with the magical cyanotype printing process, a historical photographic technique that creates beautiful blue-and-white prints using sunlight.

Workshop highlights:

  • Create personalised lanterns using cyanotype, a UV light-sensitive technique perfect for unique artistic expression
  • Design prints with natural materials and everyday objects before transforming them into glowing paper lanterns
  • Join an evening lantern walk around Objectifs and showcase your handmade creation in a festive group activity
  • Learn about the cultural meaning behind the Mid-Autumn Festival, including themes of reunion, gratitude, and reflection
  • Ideal for families, kids (ages 6+), and creative adults—no prior art or photography experience needed

Enjoy a meaningful and fun-filled celebration that blends heritage, creativity, and community spirit under the full moon. This is a perfect Mid-Autumn Festival activity in Singapore for those looking to make memories and handmade art with loved ones.
