Hedgie: A Short Film
as part of the exhibition opening programme
Hedgie is a 10-minute silent short film directed by Malaysian artist and storyteller CK Koh, featuring his signature character Box Boy – a quiet, curious figure who sees the world with child-like wonder. In this heartfelt journey, Box Boy searches for his missing friend, a small hedgehog toy named Hedgie. Along the way, he wanders through streets, fields, and mountains, meeting kind strangers and discovering that every step is part of finding not just a friend, but himself. The film is part of the project – A Voyage of Box Boy: From Here to You, which combines photography, film, and interactive experiences to explore themes of longing, belonging, and the connections that carry us across distances.
This short film is rated PG (Parental Guidance).
