Assistant Film Programmer

Objectifs is looking for a full-time Assistant Film Programmer (9 months contract position) to support our exciting line-up of activities.

About the Role

Contract Duration: 1 March 2026 to 28 November 2026

You will work closely with the Programme Head (Film) to support the planning and execution of Objectifs’ film-related initiatives. This includes screenings, workshops, talks, residencies, and other artist development programmes. The role is suited for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about film, film programming, and the arts.

Applicants should have a keen interest in film and film programming, and possess project management skills, Those with a film programming, arts management or business administration background are encouraged to apply. Prior work experience is preferred, self-motivated individuals will enjoy the opportunity to learn in this role. The position is open to Singaporeans and Singaporean PRs. 

You will be required to work about 40 hours per week, including certain weeknights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Coordination
• Assist in the planning, scheduling and delivery of film screenings, talks, workshops, projects, and other programme events at Objectifs.
• Liaise with filmmakers, artists, partners, and vendors for logistical and administrative needs.
• Coordinate event logistics including venue setup, technical requirements, and audience management.
• Support communication and marketing needs for the programmes.

Community Engagement & Communications
• Help manage communications with filmmakers, participants, and audiences.
• Support social media and website updates related to film programmes.
• Assist during events (e.g. front-of-house duties, technical set-ups, film testing, photography, or documentation).
