The Objectifs Trainee Programme seeks to develop diverse capabilities of arts administrators, to support the work of Objectifs and the Singapore arts sector. Trainees will work closely alongside our education and programming team, to further their understanding of working in a non-profit visual arts organisation. Through the programme, we hope to offer trainees insights into project and arts management, photography and film education, and community building.

The Trainee Programme is a full-time position, and trainees are expected to be fully committed to the role for the duration of the programme. Trainees must be prepared to work in a variety of situations and be comfortable working in a small team environment. A monthly trainee stipend is provided for the duration of the programme.

Trainee period:  (1) 1 Mar 2022 to 30 Jun 2022 or (2) 1 Jul 2022 to 31 Oct 2022

1. Opened to Singaporeans and Singaporean PRs.
2. Applicants do not need to have an arts or arts management background to apply. However, applicants should have a keen interest in the visual arts and arts management, and we expect applicants to demonstrate some knowledge of the programmes produced at Objectifs.
3. We welcome applications from fresh graduates and those exploring a mid career switch.

Your Responsibilities
As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to work with the Objectifs programming and education team to:
• Provide administrative, planning and logistical support for educational and outreach programmes
• Assist in planning and project management of exhibitions and other activities at Objectifs.

You will be required to work about 40 hours per week, including certain weeknights and weekends.  Trainees will be provided a monthly stipend of $1,500. If you require time off during this training period, please include that dates that you will be unavailable in your application cover letter; the stipend will be pro-rated based on the numbers of days worked.
