What makes Super 8 such an attraction for short films, music videos and even commercials in this digital age? Created as a home-video device, Super 8 is now a filmmaking format that has achieved cult status. More than an alternative to 16mm and 35mm film, Super 8 film creates a filmic aesthetic like no other.

Learn how to shoot on Super 8 and complete your project digitally. We will discuss the development and execution of storylines that optimise the use of the format. You will learn how to operate a camera and be exposed to filmmaking techniques that allows one to take advantage of the unique Super 8 features. You will receive a Quicktime file when the film stock is processed and transferred, allowing you to edit your work or incorporate your footage as mixed media in a final project.

Participants will meet back in late Sept for a screening at Objectifs.* Don't miss this unique opportunity - the only one of its kind in Singapore - to explore Super 8 in a workshop!
