Freestate Productions, a locally-based production house that
does work for television and corporates. Their short film,
"Happy Birthday Sharon", shot partly on Super 8
and digital video, has been screened worldwide at festivals
such as the Istanbul Independent Film Festival, Videobrasil
and the International Film Festival Offensiva in Poland.
More recently, their first tele-movie, "Early Morning
Awakening" was screened on Arts Central. The film was
an adaptation of a play by The Necessary Stage resident playwright,
Haresh Sharma and part of the series, "Stage to Screen".
