Class of 2004 Alumni Reunion Show The Arts House at Old Parliament |
Nothing to shoot in Singapore. No inspiration. No professional network. Shooting Home aims to address these reasons driving talented local photographers to seek more exciting pastures abroad. Held by Objectifs, Shooting Home is an annual event designed with the belief that ‘home’ is the first step for aspiring photographers to explore their professional careers. The ten participants from Shooting Home 2004 have gone on to explore multiple avenues with their photography. Since the workshop last year, two have exhibited in group shows, locally and internationally. Four have used photography to help the community, including shooting portraits for orphans in Medan and documenting the work by Mercy Relief in Meulaboh. Six have worked as still photographers for films, including the sets of prominent local filmmaker Eric Khoo and the first Singaporean-American feature-film collaboration, “Cages”. And all are still pursuing their love for photography – this passion
is showcased here in their latest project – this reunion show. The Shooting Home 2004 Reunion Show is supported by print partner, Epson
and The Arts House. With special thanks to Fotohub, Simple Digital and
1827. |
