Quiet

A Showcase of Black & White Photographic Imprints by Edmund Seet

From May 15 to June 5
Monday to Friday, 11am to 7pm / Saturday, 1pm to 5pm
Open to pubilc, free admission

QUIET is a reflection of fleeting thoughts, simple insights, forgotten facades and quiet beauty.

This showcase of black and white photographic imprints blurs the boundaries of art and photography. Images of construction sites and common spaces will be captured in a monolithic manner. Falling into the common thread of ‘less is more’, we hope these simple imprints will engage the audience in an unexpected manner – of finding beauty in our everyday or forgotten things.

The three exhibitions in this series – DISTILL (Melbourne, 1999), SEEK (The Substation, Singapore 2002) and QUIET (Objectifs, Singapore 2004) are mere recordings of our simple everyday.

About Edmund Seet

Edmund is still trying to be a simple photographer. The grey area of art and design has given him a little voice of experimentation, of expression. While his works are an expression of self and may feel inward, he hopes the audience will interact with them to form an opinion. Edmund hopes to explore new boundaries between art, design and photography which he hopes to share in due time.
