Impressions and Expressions

A Photo Art Exhibition by Nicholas Chee

October 16 to November 1, 2003
11am to 630pm daily, except Sundays
Open to public, free admission

The images in this exhibition were captured with a surprising variety of imaging equipment - an old discarded twin-lens reflex medium format, a digital single-lens reflex, a desktop scanner and a mobile phone camera. Exploring the alternative eye and different ways to see familiar sights close to home, Nicholas realised that every camera has a limit when capturing impressions and producing expressions. Well, the camera doesn’t lie, not as often as the photographer does anyway.

There are 15 images on display at Objectifs. Images from this collection have been exhibited as part of the Photokinesis:01 show in August 2003. All images are available for sale.

Special thanks to APB Foundation, Epson Singapore, Joe's Frame Shop, Objectifs and Photokinesis for making this exhibition possible.
