Synopsis:
Set in a tiny HDB (Housing Development Board) apartment in 70’s
Singapore, Di (Little Brother) is a comic battle of wills between two
young brothers left alone at home when their mom steps out for a short
errand.
Director’s Bio:
Michael Kam graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Film Production at the
Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and is currently a lecturer in film production at
the polytechnic. He was previously a Corporate Communications Executive
in a Government-linked Corporation, where he scripted and produced various
corporate video programmes.
KATONG FUGUE (2007)

Synopsis:
A film adaptation of a short play about a boy with a hidden life and a
mother desperately trying to reach out.
Director’s Bio:
Boo Junfeng is one of the most prolific Singaporean short film makers
in recent years. His first short film Un Retrato de Familia (A Family
Portrait) won the Silver Screen Awards for Best Film and Special Achievement
at the 18th Singapore International Film Festival. He has also just completed
Lucky7, an omnibus feature film based on the exquisite corpse concept.
AUTOGRAPH BOOK (2003)

Synopsis:
A school girl’s autograph book is an eclectic collection of poems
and truisms about friendship, here, it is also the cause of a rift between
two twelve year old friends who must decide if their friendship is one
worth keeping.
Director’s Bio:
A graduate of Brown University with a BA in Art Semiotics, Li Lin
also spent a semester in New York University doing “Sight and Sound”,
an intensive filmmaking production course. Since her graduation she has
been working as a director in both television and film. Though still early
in her career, her short films have been celebrated in two local retrospectives.
She made her debut feature, Gone Shopping, in 2007.
QUIETLY (2005)

Synopsis:
How does a pebble make waves? Convinced that his family has become “frogs
in a well”, an elderly grandfather leaves them an important departing
message. This calm, peaceful film will spark thoughts about the wisdom
of the aged and the beauty of death.
Director’s bio:
Oon Jit Fong graduated with a Masters from New York University’s
film programme. Quietly was his 2nd year film project.
THE SECRET HEAVEN (2001)

Synopsis:
A five-year old girl is an underachiever who spends most of her time trying
to skip piano lessons. When cornered by her piano teacher and mother,
she discovers a most ingenious way to break free – by going to heaven.
Director’s bio:
Sun Koh worked on a number of telemovies and series or MediaCorp Channel
5 and Arts Central. Like Junfeng, she has just completed The Lucky 7 Project,
which is showing at the 21st Singapore International Film Festival (SIFF).
