“Riza’s tightly budgeted, fourteen days, one camera production elegantly out-manouevers anything going on in American independent cinema today... Eliana, Eliana- bitter, tenacious, and ultimately exhilarating – is like nothing you’ve ever seen.” –Chuck Stephens, film critic, Film Comment Magazine

As part of the FAST.FWD AUG Film Screenings at The Arts House, Objectifs Films is proud to present Eliana, Eliana, a lyrical coming-of-age feature film by Indonesian cult favourite Riri Riza. Eliana, Eliana is a one-night journey into the dizzying city of Jakarta which turns out to be a revelation of many things for a mother and her daughter; their past, present relationship, and their future. Accompanying the feature is (Bukan) Kesempatan Yang Terlewat (2006) directed by Fauzia Lasja, a delightful short film which toys with the role of destiny in relationships

This second season of film screenings, a collaboration between The Arts House and Objectifs Films, aims to showcase films that will open a whole new world for the audience.
