Make the video you have always wanted to make in one weekend in the Fly By Night Video Challenge 2008. The theme of the competition is announced on Friday night. You have one weekend to conceptualise and make your 5-minute video. All entries are submitted on Sunday afternoon and they screen at the same afternoon.

JUDGES' CHOICE AWARDS - 10 FILMS
10 films will receive cash prizes of $300 each. The Judges' Choice Awards, announced 'live' on the Sunday evening, are given to the most interesting works made within the limited time and budget. These films will be screened at various venues after the Fly By Night event.

THE CHALLENGE
Day 1 // 28 Nov (Fri) // 0730pm

Pre-registered participants gather at 72-13 for the opening of the Video Challenge. The challenge begins after the theme is announced.

Day 2 // 29 Nov (Sat) // All Day
Participants make their video.

THE RESULTS
Day 3 // 30 Nov (Sun) // from 12pm
12pm: Submission of videos
2pm: Screening of all entries
Late: Judges' awards announced

Send a completed registration form with a S$20 crossed cheque made payable to "Objectifs Pte Ltd" to Objectifs - Centre for Photography & Filmmaking , 12A Liang Seah Street, S(189033). Payment can also be made in cash at Objectifs (11am-7pm weekdays and 1-5pm Saturdays).

Registration closes on 18 Nov, Tue, 12pm. Receipt of payment is confirmation of participation.

ABOUT FLY BY NIGHT
Fly By Night is local filmmaker Tan Pin Pin and film curator Yuni Hadi. They organise film events to promote filmmaking in Singapore. The Video Challenge has been run annually since 2003. It is in its 6th edition.
